about Larisa Kantrovitz
I’m Larisa Kantrovitz, owner of Capable Hands Maine. After returning home to Maine in 2014, I discovered my passion for helping people transform their homes and spaces—from overwhelming projects into functional, peaceful environments.
My approach is gentle, authentic, and deeply personal, rooted in the belief that every space should truly support the people who live in it. Along with home organization and transformation, I also find great joy in helping older adults—offering care, companionship, and practical support to make daily life easier and more fulfilling.
Before launching Capable Hands Maine, I spent nearly 30 years with Whole Foods Market, where I developed a love for creating systems and spaces that worked for everyone on my teams. That experience strengthened my appreciation for organization, collaboration, and thoughtful design—values that continue to shape my work today.
Through Capable Hands Maine, I’ve stepped fully into what I love most: helping people lighten their load, reclaim their space, and feel at home again.
I live in North Yarmouth, Maine, with my wife, and we embrace this beautiful state in every season. Whether hiking, skiing, snowboarding, or spending time with family and friends, we’re always finding new ways to enjoy all that Maine has to offer. We’re also excited to be welcoming a new puppy into our family at the end of the year, adding even more joy and adventure to our lives.
